Het streamingplatform van DPG Media en Telenet gaat Vlaamse en internationale content aanbieden en is vanaf dit najaar al beschikbaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De twee bedrijven spraken eerder dit jaar de intentie uit om samen een joint-venture op te richten om een nieuw lokaal streamingplatform met Vlaamse en internationale content te lanceren. De Europese Commissie heeft vandaag, 12 augustus, daarvoor haar goedkeuring gegeven. DPG Media en Telenet bereiden zich nu voor op de lancering naar het grote publiek later dit najaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"lokaal-alternatief-in-de-wereld-van-streamingdiensten\">Lokaal alternatief in de wereld van streamingdiensten<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telenet en DPG Media willen met Streamz&nbsp;maximaal inspelen op het <a href=\"https:\/\/gamermatic.net\/nl-be\/streamen\/cord-cutting\/\">veranderende kijkgedrag<\/a>&nbsp;en een&nbsp;lokaal alternatief&nbsp;bieden in de wereld van streamingdiensten, zoals <a href=\"https:\/\/gamermatic.net\/nl-be\/streamen\/netflix-in-belgie\/\">Netflix<\/a> en Disney+. Naast de blijvende populariteit van lineaire televisie, kunnen mensen nu ook op hun tablet, PC of smartphone televisieprogramma\u2019s bekijken waar en wanneer ze dat willen. Op deze trend werd al volop ingespeeld door Vlaamse zenders en operatoren met de ontwikkeling van videoplatformen en diensten als terugkijk-TV, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamermatic.net\/nl-be\/streamen\/alles-over-vrt-nu\/\">VRT NU<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/gamermatic.net\/nl-be\/streamen\/alles-over-vtm-go\/\">VTM GO<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die dynamiek in de televisiemarkt wordt nog versterkt doordat consumenten ook steeds meer een &#8216;on-demand&#8217; aanbod willen \u00e9n bereid zijn om daarvoor te betalen. Met Streamz is er binnenkort een lokaal alternatief.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het nieuwe bedrijf heeft verschillende troeven in handen om een relevant platform uit te bouwen. Het samenbrengen van de&nbsp;content van DPG Media&nbsp;(met o.a. Vlaamse fictie) en de&nbsp;lokale en internationale content van Telenet&nbsp;(met o.a. SBS\/Woestijnvis\/Play) zorgt voor een sterke combinatie van Vlaamse en internationale series en films voor de Vlaamse kijker.
